Calvin was happily surprised at Friday's assembly to be named Student of the Week, in recognition of "making good choices."His teacher made a point of telling me earlier in the week that he was firing on all cylinders and having a great week — and he was proud to be recognized.
It was very much an earned award. Our normally reticent student volunteered for a demonstration before the class, participated a little more than usual, and took it upon himself to up the challenge level on a couple class assignments.
We're happy to see him enjoying the success!
Congratulations to Calvin! Devon says "good job!" We're struggling a bit here with good choices at school, so we know what an honor that is.....
