Catching up - Devon's trip to MA

Belatedly, here are some highlights from Devon's trip to MA in May. We went to help Grandma with a yard sale (or tag sale, using the New England vernacular). He had a great time...and eagerly  kept a journal of all of the best things. In his first attempt, he completed the full journal on the first day, anticipating all of the fun things that he PLANNED to do each day. However, he revised as he went along.  Here is the finished project, with some supplemental pictures.

"Day 2 - Make cookies" (He helped make 2 kinds of cookies to sell at the yard sale)

"Day 3 - sell cookies".  He is pictured here in his tent, sporting the cookie hat that he made.  He made $15, which he also wanted to highlight in the journal.

"Day 4- Took a hike in the woods".  He very much wanted to take a hike in the woods while we were out East. We headed out one afternoon. I had told him about the "Cobbles" - a cliff one mile up. He wanted to go there, though I warned him that it was pretty far, and all uphill, and that we could stop when he got tired. He energetically went all the way up, and loved sitting out on the cliff. This was probably the highlight of the whole trip for him.  The picture shows the two of us hiking, and some of the things that he saw. At the top, he is sitting on the cliff, the blue shape to right is the cliff that he is sitting on, the blue shape to the left is Cheshire Lake, and the castle is the one that he swears you can see when you look down into the valley.
