Thank you!

Finn and Calvin logged more than 13 miles between them at the Walkathon today! They both surpassed their goals: Finn totaled 34 laps, and Calvin had 29. They're both very proud, and deservedly so. It was a terrific day — low 70s, the last hurrah for summer weather. It had been steamy hot earlier in the week, and we're grateful the heat eased up today.

Thank you so much for your support. With your donations; proceeds from selling lemonade, snacks, and outgrown toys; and our own contribution, they both will celebrate a job well done with a pizza party at school. And the PTA will continue to organize the kinds of activities Calvin and Finn most enjoy at school. Just this week, Calvin went on a field trip to see a re-created Ohlone Indian village and today he enjoyed both FAME, a hands-on program introducing art concepts and notable works, and Project Cornerstone, an anti-bullying program — all thanks to the PTA.

The kids wanted to bid on a half-dozen items at the Walkathon auction, from a chance to be principal for the day to going on a cruise by the Golden Gate Bridge.

They succeeded with two bids: Calvin is excited to go bowling with his teacher next month, and Finn is looking forward to a winter party with his teacher.
