In preparation for St. Patrick's Day, the kids made lots of shamrocks and leprechauns for the house. They always love a good craft. They enjoyed applying their own creativity to the endeavor, making "traditional" leprechauns and "alien" ones. They also made dozens of shamrocks, some featuring lovely rainbows and faces and glittery embellishments...others featuring things like brains. Grandma came over and helped, and got to take a few crafts home for her house. Grandma and Grandpa also joined us for our "all green" dinner last night (an early celebration) - spinach tortellini, broccoli, peas, pear applesauce, shamrock shakes, and grasshopper pie. Not quite the traditional Irish fare, but the kids had fun!
