Breaking radio silence again — I enjoyed a time-out from work today to celebrate Mother's Day at Finn's preschool. He and his friends sang a few songs (including "What a Wonderful World," which Finn says he would like if it didn't have so many words), made sandwiches for the moms, and gave their gifts.
Finn made this cool painting with crayons and a hair dryer (yes, we'll have to try that at home!) and a card with him hugging me (and Calvin on the roof).

We have been enjoying a great many adventures — Disneyland last month, lots of baseball, some wonderful get-togethers with friends, and of course Calvin's birthday celebration — but my every other moment seems to be focused on churning through work. (OK, there have been a few moments I've collapsed in front of the TV with a glazed look on my face.) I should have some birthday photos up next week, a little project to reward myself for hitting my deadlines this weekend. Which I certainly plan to do!
While Mom's been falling down the rabbit hole with work projects, the kids are welcoming summer weather with open arms. There's been some of this
