Calvin and Finn visit MN - day 4

It was a much cooler day today...very comfortable in the low 80s. The kids spent much of the morning playing outside with moving boxes. Imagine moving boxes sprinkled all over the yard, with labels such as "shower" and "control room." Welcome to Fort Devon!

Calvin made a car that runs on salt water...with lots of tinkering and assistance from Bob and Uncle Scott. Eventually, they did get it to run!

After lunch, we went to Brunswick Zone, and used Calvin's gift certificate on a game of bowling. Finn was proud to get the only strike of the game, and they bowled very respectable games (84 and 85 - obviously they got their skill from Aunt Cheryl!). They had fun bowling, and wanted to play a second game. We talked them into more outside time...and we headed off to play outside instead.  They both enjoyed climbing around on the playground at French Park.

We also found some time for crafts. They kids decorated shields (left over from our "knights, castles, and dragons" party) and robots. They also made handprint art...which we plan on hanging up in the playroom at Grandma's house.
